Warning: James
Wu (Woo), Chen-Fu Yu and their private investigation agencies in Taiwan
If you are in Taiwan and are considering hiring a private investigator,
you should stay well away from two individuals called James Wu/ James
Woo (or Wu
Chia Sheng) and Chen-Fu Yu (or Cheng-Fu Yu) and the companies that they
have set up, which are below.
James Wu and Chen-Fu Yu are criminals and scams artist
and targets the vulnerable foreign community in Taiwan. We
have included phone numbers and e-mail addresses, as he is bound to
set up other companies in order to avoid detection:

This is using the name of UIC, the agency which James Wu and Chen-Fu Yu
worked for up to late 2008. UIC (website http://www.uicco.com.tw/) is one
of the biggest private investigation agencies in Taiwan, although it
obviously doesn't have effective employee screening as it took two
criminals into its employment. UIC's genuine website still links
to James Wu's site for the English option. Please note that we are not
claiming that UIC itself is involved in any criminal or scam activities.

The contact for this company is listed as Cheng-Fu Yu. This is the name
of James Wu's associate and partner-in-crime. James Wu worked under him
at UIC, and they left together, in late 2008.

This company has apparently been set up to target the Japanese in
Taiwan.
Companies
set up by James Wu and Chen-Fu Yu targeting local Taiwanese "clients"
We are pleased to report that we have had some success in forcing James
Wu
and Chen Fu Yu out of the foreign "market", for the time being. Thank
you for the PI directories for their assistance in this. James Wu and
Chen-Fu Yu have also removed the contact details from most of their
English websites. We
will contine to monitor the internet for any new ventures they may
attempt to set up.
However, our Taiwanese associates have picked up several
professional-looking Chinese websites set up recently by him.

Again, we would warn Taiwanese/ Chinese individuals who are looking for
a private detective or private investigation service in Taiwan to stay
well away from this company.
James Wu is now being
investigated by the Foreign Affairs Police in Taiwan. If you have
any information regarding his whereabouts, or if you have been a victim
of his, please contact us on contact@taiwanprivateinvestigation.com
.
James Wu claims to be an ex-secret service investigator/ military
policeman. He managed to obtain employment in one of Taiwan's biggest
private investigation agencies, UIC, for two years, and left in late
2008. During this time he set up his own company, UIC Taiwan
which used the legitimate company logo, however he asked his clients to
pay into a number of personal bank accounts which had no relation at
all to UIC. It appears that he managed to convince his colleagues and
superiors that he was entirely trustworthy and get them unwittingly
involved in his schemes.
James Wu has connections with minor criminal figures, such as local
gangsters, and has used them in his schemes in order to persuade his
victims to pay more money. He is a highly convincing confidence
trickster who uses psychological techniques in order to control his
victims.
James Wu and his companies have now been removed from the three main
online directories for private investigation services, namely:
PI Engine http://www.piengine.com
PI Locator http://www.private-investigator-detective.net
Infoguys http://www.infoguys.com
Note: It is highly likely that
James Wu and Chen-Fu Yu are working under a false
identity and may have several aliases, contact address or phone
numbers, including:
1. Tony Chou toprc888@yahoo.com.tw
2. Chao Chen Ling renew@iwd.com.tw
TEL: (02)25161199 FAX: (02)25069555
3. Chinfu Wiu (a variant on Chen-Fu Yu) tony@sunup.net
4. So Chu/ Yang Yang dozo0223@hotmail.com
